“IN THE BEGINNING, GOD created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In many board games when you get sent back to start it’s a penalty. However, in the Lord it can be a good thing - because “in the beginning, GOD.”

If we want to “win” in life then we need to practice putting God in His rightful place - at the beginning, front and center, first, at the top, primary, priority position in our lives.  After all,

God must be first… God wants us to love Him, above all things, under all conditions. (excerpt from Feed The Seed & Meet The Need pt.3, by Dr. Chester C. Pipkin)

That can happen in both practical and spiritual ways. Some examples include:

• STARTING  the day talking and listening to God by praying and reading His Word

• Making what He says the MOST IMPORTANT data point in our decisions

• Keeping God TOP of mind

• Allow the Holy Spirit to LEAD you

When life is feeling complicated or confusing, it’s not an oversimplification to remember that God was there in the beginning and if He was in control then, He is in control now. So don’t pass go, just return to start and experience greater victory in Jesus!
