There's nothing "mid" about them.
There's nothing "mid" about them. At a professor's discretion they can appear at the beginning, middle, and/or end of the quarter. It's a never-ending (perpetual) cycle of studying and testing that means late nights, increased caffeine dependency, and explains why sweatpants are my new wardrobe of choice. Jesus knew there would be times like this and He told us the secret to keeping our peace in the midst of potentially stressful seasons. His secret isn't coffee, yoga, or mini-study breaks, or any other form of "peace inducement" this life may try to offer. Jesus says,
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." John 14:7
Jesus gives us a peace that transcends all others because HE is our peace. As the pressure mounts, make it a priority to talk to Him about everything. Set aside time to sit with Him and tell Him what's going on in your life. Then wait and listen, and you'll discover that He often has something to say about it. That is the secret to maintaining the peace that only He can give: going to Him to get it! Resist the urge to skip prayer to study more, or to put it off until after "mid"terms are over. They never end, so you've got to stick to the game plan and do whatever it takes to keep Jesus at the center of your life.
